The month of October is upon us! We can confirm that a Defender cocktail arcade machine will be present and on free-play all weekend. This makes three classic cabinets present at Eurocon.

Organisers Jon and Steve attended Retrofusion - Weekend of Gaming yesterday. We played lots of games and met lots of new people. We hope to see some of you at the end of the month.

Not long to go now! Alex Nicholson will be demonstrating a new Vectrex game 'Joust Evolution' at Eurocon. He's also bringing a few 'works in progress' along too! Check his website out for more information.

Gamestation have confirmed they are attending the Saturday retro fair. They are drawing retro stock from 13 Gamestation stores in the North West to bring along. Along with all the other stalls, there will be plenty of interesting stuff to pore over for any videogamer!

Remember also that if you have any questions or want to talk about anything to do with Eurocon or the Saturday trade fair, then visit our message board.

Eurocon 2006 is mentioned in the latest GamesTM magazine (issue 44).

Also, co-organiser Jon recently found a previously unknown NES prototype - "Way of the Exploding Fist".
The first chance for the public to see and play this game will be at Eurocon! See this thread from AtariAge for more info.

Thirdly, for those flying in from Amsterdam, Jet2 are starting flights between Blackpool and Amsterdam on the 29th October. Now this does mean that for flying home after Eurocon, you have the choice of flying from Blackpool on the 5pm flight to Amsterdam. The airport is approx 25min from venue. So the option of flying in to Manchester and flying home from Blackpool is possible and more convenient. It would have been even more convenient if they started flights just a few days earlier!

30/03/06 - We have added an Attendees page. There are only 30 places for the whole weekend, so don't delay! For the people that have already contacted us, we'll be in contact again soon to arrange payment of deposits.
